Waitohi is a multi-purpose community hub in Johnsonville, bringing together the local library, pool, kindergarten, café and transport hub. A graphic identity and wayfinding system was developed to help people navigate the space clearly and confidently. The visual language is deeply connected to place—three intersecting triangles form a bold, black and white mark referencing both the name Waitohi and the river. It also reflects the legacy of the leader Waitohi, who united warring iwi and brought peace to the region.
